What guttering and roof work costs

How guttering and roof work is priced in the Northern Rivers, set out plainly, so you know what goes into your quote before you call.

How it is priced

What shapes your quote

This work is priced on the specifics of your roof, not a flat rate. Here is how each job is priced and what moves it.

Continuous guttering

Length of the run, profile, height, access and any gutter removal all feed into it.

Gutter guard

Mesh grade, roof pitch and access. Fire-rated mesh sits at the higher end.

Fascia

Timber or metal, and whether it is replaced together with the gutter.

Roof restoration

Tile or metal, the starting condition, and whether it needs re-bedding and coating.

Roof repairs

Leak tracing and minor repairs are per visit. Storm damage is quoted once we see it.

Re-roof / new roof

Replacing a whole roof is too job-specific for a set rate. We measure and price it properly.

None of this is a quote. Every price depends on the specifics of your roof, and we confirm it with a free on-site measure before any work starts.
What moves the price

Why two homes get different quotes

Guttering and roof work is priced on the specifics of your home, not on a flat rate. A few things make the biggest difference:

Length of the roofline

More metres of gutter or fascia means more material and more labour. It is the single biggest factor in a guttering quote.

Height and access

A single-storey home with clear access is quicker and safer to work on than a two-storey home on a steep block. Height and access affect the time and the setup.

Removing the old gutter

Taking off old, brittle or rusted guttering and disposing of it adds to the job. So does finding failed fascia underneath that needs replacing too.

Material and profile

Different gutter profiles, mesh types and roof colours carry different prices. We work in the COLORBOND range and match to your roof.

Why we quote on site rather than over the phone

A price given down the line is a guess dressed up as a number, and guesses have a habit of climbing once the ladder goes up. Measuring in person means we see the access, the state of the existing gutter and fascia, and the little complications a phone call never surfaces. You get one firm figure that holds, not a cheap quote that grows a fortnight later.

It also means we can point out what is worth doing while we are there and what can safely wait, so you spend where it counts.
