A leak rarely starts where the stain shows up. Water travels along a batten or a flashing and drops somewhere else entirely. We trace a leak back to where it actually gets in, whether that is a failed flashing, a cracked tile, split sealant or a blocked valley, and fix the cause.
We also handle storm damage, from lifted sheets and broken tiles to gutters torn loose in heavy weather. After a big Northern Rivers blow, that is a lot of what we do.

What is involved
- Leak tracing to find the true source
- Flashing, valley and ridge repairs
- Cracked and slipped tiles replaced
- Storm damage to roofs and gutters made good
- Downpipe and outlet blockages cleared

How we track a leak
Finding a leak is detective work. Water enters at one point, runs along a batten or a flashing, and drops where gravity decides, which is why the wet patch inside rarely sits under the actual fault. We follow it back from the stain, checking the flashings, valleys, ridge and any penetrations until we find where it actually gets in.
Once the source is clear, the repair is straightforward and it holds, because we have fixed the cause rather than sealed over the symptom and hoped.
Fix the cause, not the symptom
Patching a ceiling or dabbing sealant on a guess wastes money and lets the damage keep spreading. Finding the real entry point is the only repair that lasts.
Storms here can turn a small fault into a big one overnight. Getting a leak sorted early keeps it from reaching the ceiling, the insulation and the frame.
Common questions
My ceiling is leaking, can you find where from?
Yes. Tracing a leak back to its source is the job. The wet spot inside is often well away from where the water gets in, so we work back from it to find the actual fault.
Do you do storm damage repairs?
We do. Lifted sheets, broken tiles and gutters pulled loose in heavy weather are common work for us after a Northern Rivers storm.
Will my insurance cover storm damage?
That is between you and your insurer, but most home policies cover sudden storm damage to a roof. We are happy to document what we find with photos and a written scope so you have what you need to lodge a claim.
