Gutter Guard

Gutter guard is a mesh fitted over the gutter and along the roof edge to stop leaves, twigs and debris from building up. On a home under gums or near bush, it is the difference between a gutter that flows and one you are up a ladder clearing every few months.

We fit fire-rated aluminium mesh, which holds up to heat and sun far better than plastic and does not go brittle after a couple of summers. It also helps keep embers out of the gutter during bushfire season, and keeps tank water cleaner by stopping debris washing into the first flush.

Mesh, not gimmicks

There is a lot of gutter guard on the market and plenty of it is thin plastic that sags, discolours and cracks. We fit aluminium mesh because it holds its shape, takes the heat and keeps working long after the cheap stuff has failed.

How the mesh is fixed matters as much as the mesh itself. We run it from the gutter lip up under the first row so leaves ride over the edge instead of wedging underneath, and we give valleys and low-pitch sections the extra attention they need to keep flowing.
